Ernie Chan

Ernesto "Ernie" Chan (born in the Philippines, July 27, 1940 – May 16, 2012) born and sometimes credited as Ernie Chua (due to a typographical error on his birth certificate), was a Filipino-American comics artist, known for work published by Marvel Comics and DC Comics, particularly on Marvel's Conan the Barbarian and Savage Sword of Conan Magazine, along with DC's Batman and Detective Comics. Chan also drew many non-superhero characters, in the genres of horror, war, along with sword and sorcery. Cited by many for furthering the recognition of Filipino artistic talents worldwide, Chan also received an Inkpot Award in 1980.
