Nick Cardy

Nicholas Viscardi (born in New York, NY, October 20, 1920 – November 3, 2013), known professionally as Nick Cardy, was an American comics artists best known for his DC Comics work on Aquaman, the Teen Titans, and other major characters. Cardy was the primary DC cover artist from the early to mid-1970s. Notably, Cardy received the Inkpot Award in 1998 and later was inducted into the Will Eisner Hall of Fame in 2005. Also a WWII veteran of the 3rd Armored Tank Division, Cardy earned two Purple Hearts for wounds suffered in battle.
